Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP)
Overview
The CMF, in collaboration with partners in Colorado’s water quality community, developed a Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) template to help regulated entities meet the nutrient monitoring requirements of Regulation 85. The template provides a consistent framework for planning, implementing, documenting, and reporting nutrient monitoring activities.
The SAP was designed as a practical resource that organizations can adapt to meet their facility-specific monitoring needs while supporting consistent data collection and reporting practices across the state.

By providing a standardized approach to nutrient monitoring, the SAP helps organizations improve consistency in data collection, support defensible scientific analyses, facilitate data sharing and collaboration, and meet regulatory requirements.
